Powerful Perspectives: The Plight of Social Anxiety in Academic Development

Far too many students struggle with social anxiety, one of the leading causes of school refusal, stress, and mental fatigue in adolescents. Dr. Mehlman and his Team will discuss strategies for identifying when social anxiety is the culprit of poor academic performance and difficulties in the classroom. They’ll share valuable skills all educators and professionals can implement to mitigate the effects of social anxiety at school, so that we can better provide for our adolescents and teens. Lunch will be provided.
